so i have decided to get a fx 8350 and save up for a motherboard and i5. but will the 8350 give any better performance in games over my fx 6350. i believe thats whats dropping my frames in certain games. gta v i run in graphics settings that my card should easily handle and i think the cpu is whats holding it back. i know gta v is a cpu game but still. if the amd fx 8350 does how much performance boost would it give?

my specs
amd fx 6350 3.9ghz
8gb crucial ram
zotac gtx 960 2gb
1tb hdd

To be honest it depends on the game you are playing, but having more cpu cores in some games does help to improve the final frame rates you experience in a variety of games.

I guess it also weighs up on how much you are willing to spend on a cpu, as everyone knows Intel cpu`s are more expensive, and I wont be the first one to admit they do actually perform better than Amd FX based chips in raw processing power.

I`m not an Intel fan, or an Amd fan, And I don`t get mixed up in the constant battle some people have on what is the best brand of Cpu.

I`m just the sort of person who is honest. And if a cpu does the job for me then I myself have little to complain about.
Or poke a finger at someone else's choice of what they choose to buy...

FX Cpu`s may be cheaper to buy, for what you get. Again I would not class them as a budget Cpu.
But an all round cpu like I said that get the job done.

I always say it comes down to exactly what the person intends to use the cpu with the most.
Because at the end of the day all that should matter is Matt, that your happy with it yourself, and what ultimately should be your choice.
