Installing new SSD and OS

I've just purchased a new SSD and Windows OS, but I'm unsure of how to go about installing them.

Do I literally just connect my SSD, insert my OS installation disc, then boot my PC up and install the OS to the SSD location?

Because the SSD comes with an installation/driver disc as well and I wasn't sure if I would be able to install the OS onto the SSD without having first installed the drivers.

I have a new HDD coming as well and will be installing that after the OS installation.

Any advice is greatly appreciated,

Thanks in advance

Just replace and BOOT from whatever you have OS on. Oh, yes, set SATA port to AHCI mode in BIOS first. Make sure you write down license code for Windows before you start. That's about all you have to do. Disk is not going to contain OS, that's for sure so you have to have that on USB or DVD.
