Hey,
I've noticed the last few days my pc uses around 3.5GB ram when doing nothing. When I calculate the ram usage of the programs shown in my taskbar it doesnt look the same. So it's using ram that isn't shown in the taskbar.
When I played games before this started happening i never had that high RAM. now I constantly get messages my ram is running high and I have to close programs. Games like, csgo, arma, minecraft...

I have 8GB RAM
Taskbar
RAM

Using windows7 64bit.

Hi,
Is this still a problem?

There could be several reasons for that. One is something called 'memory leakage' which means a poorly written program consumes more memory over time and quit the application or restart the computer it should be fine - for a while until the program starts sucking up memory again.

Certain games in particular have often this type of behavior, but also a web browser (which You should reset its cache and downloaded content from within, without loosing your personal bookmarks nor stored passwords).

Question: Is this a new phenomenon that you recently discovered, perhaps after a new program or a driver installation?
Are there any new s/w or driver updates after this you could check for?

Try to use the inbuilt Resource Monitor and Event Viewer to help You isolate what program is more demanding in both memory and CPU usage:

Sorry for my late reply I've been busy with school, This is something that randomly started showing up. I've done virus scans, memory checkers,... I can't seem to find the problem.
