Hi,
I have Asus GTX 580 Directcu II.
3 days ago I opnened it to replace the thermal paste and the degrees dropped by 15.
Yesterday I got black screen for a few seconds and had an error about the driver stopped working and I make sure the driver is up to date, which I updated right after but it crushed about 2 more times, and now the whole pc forze, couldnt do anything so I restarted the PC but there was no signal from the gpu.
Can I do anything? does the gpu died?

Thank you very much for the help

Take out the gpu and smell it, check it all over, if you smell anything burnt then I have bad news for you, if not then reapply the thermal paste and be very careful when you put the heatsink on, check the pins the pcie pins of the gpu, are they scratched? reattach it very carefully into the motherboard, make sure the IO panel's metal doesn't touch the mainboard by accident. One more thing, the pcie power cables, if you can try to replace them, if not, try it with another power supply. Oh yeah, does your mainboard even start with another gpu or onboard gpu?

It doesnt smell burnt, the thermal paste spreaded nicely on the gpu,the pcie pins doesnt seems to be scratched.
Another PSU didnt seem to be working either

Smelling is good for the PCB, artifacts/ram, so possibly GPU failure. My opinion it was running hot you knew this that is kind of a sign Gpu failure. There is the possibility it may have not had the correct pressure reapplied after the repair causing the failure as well.

what do you mean by pressure? as in tightening the screws tight enogh?
Is there a chance to revive the card or is it gone?
