Hows this 1400$ gaming build?

Solution
People who don't stream/edit video/have 6 million things open at once won't really be able to take advantage of the i7. i5 is perfectly fine assuming you just want to use it as a gaming rig. For the budget definitely stick with an H170 series board.

Here's what I'd suggest

H170

Compatibility is fine. You just don't need such a large heatsink on a locked processor. The box cooler does perfectly fine for a stock processor

Better CPU and you've still got $113 of leeway in case you wanna go for $1400.

Normally people only choose an Intel i5 because that's fast enough for games. However if you can afford it, Intel i7 is potentially much better than an Intel i5. Intel i7s are used for heavy 3D work including game development. Streaming is only the one of many things that an Intel i7 is much faster at compared to an Intel i5.
