Ok.. I can't figure this out at all and have almost given up. I'm trying to make my SSD the boot and system drive so it boots faster but can't figure out how. Apparently I have made it the system drive but not the boot. I used Macrium Reflect to image it off another drive the same way I did it on another computer (which works) but this one doesn't boot off the SSD but now it won't let me reformat it or image it. Below is the setup:

Start over.
Take everything out, except the original OS drive

Does it boot up?
If yes, then connect the new SSD
Redo the migration with Macrium Reflect
At the end of the process, power off
Reemove the old drive
Boot up with only the SSD connected. Verify the boot order in the BIOS
Continue the power up, hopefully booting from the SSD only.
Power off and on a couple of times
Then reconnect the old drives.
Wipe the original drive.

AS above:
"Start over.
Take everything out, except the original OS drive"

Does it boot, y/n?

OK.
Power off, power up and check the BIOS boot priority.
The SSD should not be in there.

If we verify that it boots from the orig drive, WITH the SSD in there, then there should be no problem with a migration operation.

There are 4 drives connected there.

Again, disconnect everything except the current C drive.
This includes the 1TB LaCie external drive.

Does it boot?
If yes, connect the new SSD

Assuming the sizes work, migrate everything from the existing C drive to the SSD.

When I try to boot with the C: it coms up with the error of Reboot and Select Proper Boot Device (everything else disconnected. When I boot with the D: (which then becomes the C: it allows me to hit F9 to select an OS and boots fine.

We're still a bit confused here.
Which disk...0, 1, 2, 3, 4....contains your current OS. I'm thinking Disk 2?
And for it to boot, the Disk 3 is required to be connected?

So I disconnected everything except Disk 2 and it boots fine for the most part... however this screen comes up and I have to hit F9 and select load OS Windows 10 from Volume 1. Then it boots fine. However, the wallpaper is different, doesn't require a password, it's just different.

Back sotry about my wife's computer. She had 2 HDD both 320GB. When I build the new computer I transferred them over and added a 1TB drive and was going to get rid of the 2 smaller drives after cloning the OS to the SSD.

It is telling what it needs:
"Your PC/Device needs to be repaired"

That is usually a bad idea.
New system often requires a clean install.

Here, you are running into issues of not doing that.

Ok... the computers we had were old as dirt an no longer have the discs... codes or anything.. I'm getting to the point I might just buy another copy of windows unless there is an easier way... and then chuck the old drives.
