CPU : i5-4690k
Mobo : Z87-A
PSU : ANTEC CP-850

not booting up, so no bios or anything. hdd is vibrating. all the cooler are working

once i turn on the power button, looks like everything is working except for the cpu because i see

the red cpu light on the mobo.

when i connect the new mobo and cpu to other computer's PSU it works.

so i figured it is my PSU that makes trouble with the new cpu, but the thing is when i connect my old AMD cpu and GIGABITE mobo to the PSU it is just working.

is it that i have to buy new PSU too because it just cant supply enough power to my new cpu in spite of 850W capacity.

or is there anyway to fix this problem?

Are you plugging in the 8 pin eps and not the 4 pin to the new boards cpu power plug
Are you using a graphics card? The psu has four rails, You should not use the pcie from just one lead, but using both leads from the psu for pcie, those leads have two plugs on one cable but should not be used like that as that single lead only uses one rail of 25A.

yeah both new and old cpu and mobo has 8 pin power cable connection.

and i tried both 4pin and 8pin from PSU. same result. :(

used both of them. cuz i read from other posts that both work to run cpu. when i tested i only used 1 stick of ram and and cpu only, not graphic card because mobo itself already has DVI port.

PCIE cable is the 6+2 right? there are two of those. i didnt connect them to cpu cause as i know they are for graphic card and also they are not matched to the socket. impossible to put them in.

what i have tried is 4 pin ATX 12V and 8 pin EPS 12V.

i really dont know what to do next because I already spent 40 bucks to update the bios hoping that the problem will be solved.

Seems if the other psu you tried worked and this one don't, then this psu should be replaced with one that does
