Solution Phillip Corcoran May 2, 2016 "How can I get DVD drivers installed for this version of windows?" It's not a driver problem as the Microsoft driver for all optical drives is built in to Windows 7. If it was a driver problem, the drive wouldn't be recognised and therefore wouldn't read any type of disc. It may be a common registry issue which needs fixing. See second post here (soundguruman): http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/254529-45-drive-reading-dvds-read If that doesn't fix the problem, replace the drive.
