Buying a new Boot SSD: Sandisk extreme pro or Samsung 850 pro?

I'm currently deciding between a Sandisk Extreme pro and a Samsung 850 pro for my new boot SSD. I've looked online on guides and benchmarks and it appears that as of now, these are 2 of the best 2.5" performance SSDs (not really looking for the budget oriented SSDs).

They both offer pretty much the same performance and price - Sandisk costs a bit more $ per GB but offers better performance.

I also don't know what size config to get, do I get the 240/256 GB range? Or do I get the 480/512 GB? Why and why not?

Thank you so much in advance! :)

Id recommend the 250/256GB size, it offers enough size for you to install your OS and 1-2 commonly played games.

If you feel you need more SSD space, i'd recommend 2x 250GB, that way you can keep program and game install locations separate, and you can reinstall windows without losing your SSD game files as well.

As far as which model, I can't really say, as both perform fairly closely and have similar expected lifespans.
