Laptop WiFi cannot find SSID after plugging into LAN

I have a weird problem... so I had to do some diagnostics on my router and used an old laptop to connect through LAN. Everything went well until after I unplugged the LAN cable, I tried to connect to our network via WiFi and it couldn't find my SSID (before plugging the LAN cable it was working fine)

Has anyone come across the same problem before? I'd appreciate any help this forum can provide. I tried looking for problems similar to

Here's what i've done to try and solve the problem
Reset Win10
ipconfig /flushdns
nbtstat -R
netsh int reset all
netsh int ip reset
netsh winsock reset

EDIT: BTW - I can see other SSID's around the apartment , and my other devices can connect to my SSID just fine

I wasn't talking about what your router supports, it would have to support 5ghz for what im talking about to even be an issue. Im wondering if your old laptops network card supports 5ghz. Did you...

Old laptop? Are you using the 5ghz band on your router for wifi? The wireless network card in your laptop might not support 5ghz, I would try 2.4ghz. Can it see other wifi networks in your area? A more simple explanation would be its not on, most laptops have a physical switch or a key on the keyboard that turns the wireless nic on and off make sure its turned on.

My router supports both bands (TP-Link Archer C2600) and I have them both activated on the router side
The laptop can see other wifi networks in my area, just not mine

Did you name your 2.4ghz and 5ghz network the same thing? I would just disable the 5ghz network for a bit and see if the 2.4ghz network will show up in the laptops SSID list.
