Greetings!

I want to apologize if there's a thread already with the same problems i have, i was looking for it, but i just couldn't find the proper solution, so i hope you might be able to help me.

I've bought a new components for my PC 2 months ago and my friend who has a lot of experience in building PCs helped me build the my PC:

Here is the list of the components:

- CPU Intel Core i5 4460 (3.20Ghz)
- MBO 1150 ASUS H81M-K
- HDD 1TB 7200rpm, SATA 6GB/s 64MB cache, ST1000DM003
- Corsair VS550 PSU 550W, ATX
- Patriot Signature, 1333Mhz 8GB (1x8GB)
- LG DVD GH24NSD1 SATA Bulk Black
- Graphics : Gigabyte GTX 960 G1 Gaming OC 4GB DDR5

First time i was installing the system i had dual boot Windows 7 64-bit and Windows 10 64-bit, because my father uses Windows 7 and i am using Windows 10, because i don't want him to mess with my files and he doesn't want me to mess with his.

But the problem was that, whenever i tried to Boot to Windows 7 again, the disk-check was there running and showing errors and after that it booted normally to Windows 7. Also when me and my father wanted to play games, we got BSOD coming showing error about Geforce Experience and it rebooted automatically...
Some of my games i have on steam (like L4D2 or CSGO) files went corrupted and i couldn't join servers or play them i had to verify integrity of the game cache all the time

At first i thought it was a problem glitching between the both Windows 10 And Windows 7 system files so i Formated HDD and installed only Windows 7 64bit i wanted to see how is it going to work.
After when i installed all the latest drivers i could find for my hardware and my programs and some games, i noticed that BSOD came in again but this time it was about

The BSOD came in daily and no matter what i did it was always coming randomly, if i played games, doing my stuff in Photoshop or After Effects or sometimes watching Youtube ...

i was looking for solutions over the internet, spent days and i've read it could be my hardware or drivers that could cause that problem so i decided to put my hardware on test and to see if it's HDD or even RAM or something

I've looked for my components if they were overheating while i play or some heavy work on pc,

CPU temp was maximum of 60°C
GPU was around 68°C

and everything seems to be normal by that

so i went to check my HDD first, because i doubt it might be that piece of hardware that could cause fault i downloaded some SeaTools to check it out results were all good

SMART Check Passed
Short Generic Passed
Long Generic Passed
Short DST Passed

to be sure i downloaded tools from Western Digital and it also passed all the tests

now i wanted to test RAM memory i switched to Windows Memory Diagnostic, it said no errors were found, but i read on the internet that i should download Memtest86 and i did so i ran check on that to see if it's gonna work

First time i did and it showed 5 errors

Then i turned off my PC and put my RAM into another RAM Slot and ran it again i also got 5 errors here are the screenshots:

13131256_224181581292807_4219295352641606081_o.jpg

I read people say on internet that this errors are because my CPU was used when the test was run and that it's better to download and use Memtest86+ ... and so i did

i ran it twice and i also got some errors like this, and then i stopped after 4 hours even tho on screenshot it says that it was 32 minutes :S ....

13116042_224181614626137_8103002602533887594_o.jpg

....Now i am not quiet sure ... and my problem is that i got confused i dunno what to do or what the problem is ...

1. Is it my RAM memory that's broken?
2. Is it my CPU messed up?
3. How do i fix that (if there is a way ofc)?
4. Is there that might be any other hardware that causes that kind of issues, if there is how can i check them?

I sadly have no other friends that can help me with switching components so i can test them out :/ and i don't feel like RMAing all of my components if i don't have to, if i can check if they work properly that is.

Thanks in advance! :)

Solution
The fail was in memory itself, i was told that it might be an issue with compatibility yes, but no, it wasn't the compatibility issue, it was memory that was damaged itself... so basically they just swapped with same memory same size, to be precise, Patriot Signature, 1333Mhz 8GB (1x8GB)

So far it's been more than a week i've been using my pc without any issues, so i am glad that's over =)
well I would test the hard drive with a 3ed party tool like maybe WD's data life guard or what ever the hd manufacture has [ Seagate/seatool] I prefer the stand a lone dos on a bootable dvd
[examples]

http://www.seagate.com/files/staticfiles/support/downloads/seatools/seatools-dos-guide.pdf

http://support.wdc.com/download/notes/DLGDiagUSBInstructionsv3.pdf

then if you put a new cpu in may need to check to see if you did not get ''bent pins'' when you latched it down

be sure your memory sticks are seated well pull them out and re seat to be 100% sure of this

Okay i'll try to do that and i'll check my CPU to check for pins if they are bent or not, and i will tell you the results probably tomorrow since i have to go to work soon

Hey there, sorry for a bit late reply i thought i would run some more test to see what's happening with other components
and make sure it's nothing but RAM or CPU in that case which still makes me confused... i did ran that what you told me to and it appears to be fine with my HDD

Also i did check my CPU, none of the pins are bent and i applied new paste just in case...

but in the meantime through the last 2 days i got several more blue screens

The first one:

I dunno where to look and what to do :/ still confused if it's RAM fault (which i really doubt it is ) or maybe CPU ...

hard to say unless you gwt another memory stick / sticks to try and see if they work out or not ?

I see your chip needed at least bios 703 or above so be sure you got that on a new board or maybe be sure you got the latest bios to also help with any new memory compatibility or stability ?

google the Bug Check Code like 0x0000000a and see whats reported and thing surrounding them

I was thinking maybe you added that new 8gb stick to some you had all ready and was mismatched , but???....

i updated my bios to version 704 i think, because i thought it might be that what caused the problem, but problem is still there,
and yeah my mistake was to buy only one 8GB stick, i should've get 2x8 but i didn't have too much money in my budget ... and here i am :(
but i will go to RMA tomorrow i already called the service and they told me to bring the stuff to them and they will inspect and test stuff for me to see what's the issue, it's gonna take a while since i am gonna bring them my whole PC, and i will definetly post here when i get results, in my opinion this might be somewhere next week... i was hoping to learn which hardware cause the problem i doubt in CPU and RAM so far, but we'll see :)

this memory ??

if so look like that one reviewer claims issues ??

being intel rig to me you should of just been able to set the XMP and good to go that's not a demanding memory on a intel chip ..

though you never know memory can be finicky from time to time

my ''last'' asus AM3+ board would not take any 8gb kits but it did work with just one at default anything more then that it was just like what you go going on

I got those same 8gb kits that failed in the asus AM3+ running fine and dandy on this z87 [asrock] 4670 build with out issues maybe asus don't like 8gb sticks ???

if you just had a different kit to try like a 2x4 or just anything ddr3 to test with would go a long way

well see what they tell you and report back on the findings

good luck

Okay I am back with my PC and people at the service tested everything and found bunch of errors on Memtest86+ as well as I did, they told me that my RAM was pretty much messed up and they changed it immediately... They also tested it again after the changing RAM, as well as other components and they said everything is working fine, so I am good to go with my PC :)

I am gonna post here again if something happens (Which I hope to God won't)

Thank you for your time Junkeymonkey!

Yes i did ran the memtest over night and it ran without errors =) so far so good =) i tested it for now using After effects rendering and some hours of gaming, no BSODS or random crashings :)
