The thing is when you plug it in, the BIO will tell what it is. Sure, someone can switch a box, that can happen with any product, not just a CPU. Microcode on the CPU that ID's the chip usually can't be overwritten so when you put it in a motherboard, the BIOS will not lie as to what chip it is.
