I am shopping for a Micro ATX motherboard, but reviews on Newegg indicate many boards lack the necessary space between the PCI and memory slots to support some graphics cards.

Graphics card: Asus GeForce GTX750TI- https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00IB9P1KG/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&psc=1

Motherboard: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128822

I plan to use both memory slots. Also, I'm open to alternative suggestions for each component (particularly the motherboard). If it matters, I intend to use an Intel Core i5-4460 with the stock fan.

Advice and thoughts appreciated, thanks.

I can't see there being a problem with that card and your board as the bulky part of the card should run opposite direction from your RAM slots. The thing to watch out for is the space in your case. I have a mini-ITX board and a coolermaster 120 Elite, while the case can take longer cards, some of the ones I have tried are very tight against the cage at the back of my case, which make wiring difficult.

Thanks guys

My concern it seems should be about whether the case has real estate to fit the power supply, graphics card, and cpu fan. How do I check online whether certain hardware is compatible with an individual case?

I'm eyeballing the following cases (in order of preference):
- Xion Performance mATX: https://www.amazon.ca/Xion-Performance-Tower-Black-XON-310/dp/B00SAYCFF6/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1462202257&sr=1-1&keywords=matx
- Rosewill FBM-01- Dual-Fan Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147123&cm_re=micro_atx_case-_-11-147-123-_-Product
-APEX TX-381-C: http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811154094&cm_re=micro_atx_case-_-11-154-094-_-Product

I'll be using the Intel Core i5-4460 stock fan

Thoughts appreciated again, thanks.

edit: first two cases are 6.8" width, third is 7.2". is that wide enough?

looking at that giga board it sure looks like you need in install the memory first have the memory latches in the upright [locked ] position then the card

with them down it seems at most 1/2 mm clearance but should be fine

the back of the card with out a backplate is only as thick as the slot with a back plate you may need to put the latches up [locked position ]

look at ATX cases that are compatable with any m-ATX board that should give you a bit more space ?? then with that if you were to go with a ATX board the caes is ready for it as well ? [2 birds with one stone ]
