my uncle gave me a computer that he built himself. He gave it to me so he could upgrade his. At first it was running fine, I was able to play games with no problem, then about 2 months ago my PC started crashing. I thought it was overheating so I got a better case and got more cooling for my PC, but it was still crashing. my uncle had already put a asus gtx 970 in it, and he gave me an extra 2 asus gtx 770s, so i tried all 3 in my computer to see if it was my 970 but even the 2 770s crashed. I don't get a blue screen, then completely shuts off, and only does it when i'm playing games (csgo, dota 2, fallout 4, h1z1, etc.) i'm starting to think it is my motherboard, i was hoping someone could help me solve this problem.

PC Specs:
Graphics card - Asus GTX-970 strix
Motherboard - ROG Crosshair V Formula
RAM - some HyperX blue ddr 3 ram (4)
CPU - AMD fx-8350 (not overclocked)
Hard drive - one 500GB western digital and a 1TB western digitial
Power Supply - not sure, but says lightning when I look at the back of my case (800W)

Could you do more research about your PSU? Considering PSUs are a prime source for this behavior at load, more information about it would be helpful. It *could* be a Rosewill Lightning, which is good, but lightning is such a generic type of branding that it could be something quite craptacular in there.

never mind, check with a psu-tester, if the voltage are stable and responding time ok, may be a weak resistor or capacitor.
