I'm switching from an AMD fx 6300 to an Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor and i was wondering if it is safe to just Install the motherboard, cpu, and drivers and uninstall the old amd ones.

It will almost certainly require a re-install. Back up everything. Nice thing about steam, if it's on a different drive from c:, you don't need to re-install your steam library.

Unless it is the exact same make/model, my statement still holds.
