I just bought a new pair of Sennheiser Game Zero's and they are amazing. When I hopped on Skype to talk to my friends they said I sounded very realistic as the mic worked fantastically. Then a few minutes later my mom was downstairs and I am upstairs gaming. My mom is on the phone, she isn't being loud, and my friends said that they heard word for word what she said. My friends said they could hear a lot of stuff and they said it was getting annoying. So the question I have is are there any ways to get rid of this? One of my stupid solutions is will a sound card get rid of this (I say no)? Thanks to anyone with a working solution.

Solution
turn your mic sensitivity/gain down. a sensitive microphone will pick up far more noise than you want it to.

you could always try a software based noise gate if you are still picking up low volume level disturbances.
