New GPU installed; monitor goes to sleep for a few seconds then starts up normally. Is this ok?

Hello! I have successfully installed a new gpu (everything works perfectly). However, I noticed 1 difference; whenever I restart/boot up my computer, after the windows logo, my monitor would go to sleep (says no signal) for like 10-15 seconds then would wake up and boot up normally. Additionally, I need not to move my mouse nor press anything on my keyboard; it wakes up by it self. Just to clear up confusion, by waking up and booting normally, it does not do a full restart, rather, it seems like nothing just happens and after waking up it would display the "welcome" message that normally pops up before going to desktop.

To sum it up, instead of the normal boot up process of windows logo --> "welcome" message --> desktop, my computer does this: windows logo --> sleep for like 10-15 secs --> "welcome" message --> Desktop.

Additional info: I used to have r9 380 strix then I replaced it with gtx 970; I have used DDU to uninstall my previous GPU driver then I was successful when I installed the 970 drivers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much!

Solution
The GPU is giving no signal while windows loads so the monitor goes to sleep. After 10 seconds the monitor has signal again.

Hello! Thanks for the reply. It is 8 year old HP monitor and I believe it has power savings mode. As for the auto-select input, I am not quite sure where to see if it is selected or not; where can I check?
