ssd health problem

hello everyone. im pretty much new in forums like these. i made an account to seek help from other people in this troubling moment im in now. recently windows 10 popped out a warning saying: Windows detected a hard disk problem. i checked which drive was it and it turned out to be my hyperx 3k 240gb. i restarted my computer to see what S.M.A.R.T had to say and it said: status BAD backup and replace. so i went to my other windows on another drive to troubleshoot the ssd. check bad sectors, errors the usual...but none of the things i did corrected the problem. i downloaded the kingston ssd toolbox to check the ssd's status. and it showed me that my ssd has 1% of health and all the attributes are all ok. but Lifetime writes from host says ok but it says 0gb...also lifetime reads says ok and 0gb... power on hours says 6287hrs so lifetime reads and write should not be on 0gb. still the ssd booted normally i readed and writed files i moved in and out normally but then i securely wiped the ssd with the kingston tool to see if it fixed...but no luck... it still works but i still get the pop up messege on windows and the s.m.a.r.t warning on the BIOS. i got this ssd a year ago. and it's boggling my mind on how could the ssd degrade that fast. i have searched everywhere to see if somebody as similar problem to mine but i had no luck whatsoever. so i humbly ask the tomshardware community for tips and help.

Two options, well three but it's really the same as two.

1. Use the drive till it dies, ignore the messages. Make sure you keep current backups.
2. If drive is in warranty, contact vendor to replace it, install Windows on it again, copy files from your backups.
3. If drive is not in warranty, buy a new drive, install Windows, copy files from backups.

There are a ton of issues with failing drives with SMART errors, not sure how you could not find anything about it unless you searched for something like "Bill's Kingston hard drive showing SMART errors but I want to have it be fixed" instead of Hard Drive SMART Errors".

i've searched everywhere with my specific drive and problem but i had no accurate answers about the problem. but yes i have been doing what you pointed out for some time now and the SSD keeps going like nothing happened. but my deepest thanks sir. atleast i know this site can provide good answers.

I have exactly the same problem. From out of nowhere my drive, which is of exactly the same model with the same firmware, gave me the same problem.
I was searching for someone with the same problem and found this thread and another one in Reddit, from another guy.
Mine has the same symptoms, and the only wrong thing is the lifetime (and the writes and reads are also zeroes).
So, I think this is a problem with this model, and Kingston should provide a new drive.
The thing is that I live in Brazil but bought mine in USA in a trip. And I do not have the invoice after 1,5 years with the drive :(
