I just recently bought a DDR3 4GB Zeppelin Ram 1600. My original DDR3 is a Kingston 1gb 1.5V. Motherboard has 2 ddr3 slots and 2 ddr2 slots. When I try putting in the old DDR2's or my original DDR3,it works. But the new one is not letting the system boot up.

you hunt down the memory like tradesman1 and I tried to explain to you about

Motherboard: ASUS-PSG41C-M LX. not hearing any beep sounds at all. when I install the Kingston DDR3 1gb individually. it works. but when I install the DDR3 4GB zeppelin , it does not boot up. not even a beep sound

Well it can accept 4GB but the DDR3 has to be in the black slot only. Does that explain anything? Also, it can't take DDR2 and 3 at the same time so go for another 4GB or DDR3 and you'll max out at 8GB.

Here's the source I found in a Googling. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P5G41CM_LX/specifications/

Might try pulling the 2GB, unplug and then reset the CMOS, then try installing the 4GB. Not familiar with Zepplin but quite likely is newer and if so, made with high density memory ICs (chips) if so it's prob not compatible, the G41 was designed back when low density memory ICs predominated

Yes. I actually place only one 4gb DDR3 on one of the black slots. The rest are empty. I tried to boot it several times but not hearing anything or the beep sounds. Is there a need for me to add another DDR3? or do u think its the DDR3 that I purchased thats not working. My DDR2's and original DDR3 is fine.

also the mother board is 2x DIMM 8gb. if i understand correctly, it will work with 4gb on each slot. does that mean i have to place in another 4gb for it to work?

I found out the reason why the DDR3 is not working. First, my board only accepts 1333mhz DDR3 when I purchased 1600. I already got it replaced with a 1333 4gb DDR3. Now the thing is that i run a 32 bit operating system and is maxed at the moment at 4gb, so my DDR3 IS NOT GONNA WORK. My board is ASUS P5G41C MLX, what do u suggest? I upgrade to 64 bit or I just go for 2x DDR3's at 2gb each?

''We do not currently support your PFG41C-M LX motherboard as we no longer manufacture memory that would be compatible with that motherboard. so if you see memory that will work and end users report it will better grab it and see before it all gone

you running a dated near forgot about passed out computer platform

good luck
