The other day I bought a Kingston DataTraveler SE9 G2. The problem that I'm having is when I put it in to a USB 3.0 or 3.1 port it almost never picks it up (sometimes it does). I have tried it in the USB 2.0 ports and it works fine every time. It also works when I plug a USB(2.0) hub into a USB 3.0 port and then put the drive into that. I hope someone can help me.

Hi James.

Did you perform all of these tests with the same computer? If "yes", I'd recommend that you try a different computer's USB 3.0 ports and see if the same issue occurs. If the same thing happens, then you might want to check with the USB flash drive manufacturer or the reseller you got it from, if you can get it replaced. However, if it works normally with a different computer, then I'd recommend that you make sure that the chipset drivers for your motherboards are update. You can also try updating your OS if you have available updates, to see if that fixes things up.

Hope that helps.
