My USB is not coming up, making any sound or showing when plugged in! I tried it on another laptop and it's the same. I've got

Nobody repairs pen drives that I know of.
There are companies that specialise in data recovery but it's mega expensive. I don't live anywhere near London so I haven't a clue where such companies are.
It doesn't work even on other computers so that tells me that it has failed, corrupt memory chips inside it.
Pen drives are the last things you should use for important data that isn't backed up.
