I run AMD A10 7860k w a Asus Strix R9 390 gpu. Buddy has same gpu w i5 6600k build, He gets 4-8 fps better then me. I like value. pcpartpicker.com

That is an FM2 motherboard so that will limit you. You can't use the newer FM2+ CPUs so maybe a AMD A10-6800K Quad-Core APU Richland Processor 4.1GHz Socket FM2. Not sure how much better that is then what you already have.

Im not sure, but I think that if you get a good cooler for your processor you can make it run continuously at 3.9 Ghz. You may have to raise the multiplier.
