hello

i have a problem with GTA V. before i begin, here are my PC specs

mobo: GIGABYTE GA-G41MT-S2PT
CPU: intel xeon x5460 3.14 GHZ
GPU: EVGA geforce GT 730 2 GB GDDR5
RAM: G.skill 8 GB DDR3
HDD: 320 GB WD blue
OS: windows 10 64 bit

before all this happened, i always got a smooth 30-45 FPS on high settings when playing the game. but yesterday, when i launched the game, the FPS suddenly dropped down to an average of 5-9 FPS and it was unplayable. there was no freezing, only lag. i dont get how it just suddenly dropped down like that. my CPU/GPU temps are fine, i reverted my GPU's overclock settings, still lagging, shut down processes in the task manager, still lagging, and i disabled vsync, but i still get lag. the only time the game doesnt lag is when im in the loading/home screen and the settings screen. im stuck and i dont know what to do...

Solution
I would also check the setting and resolution that you are playing to be frank its seems odd that you were able to play GTA V at high settings with only a GT 730 card unless it was at 720p (even then unless GTA is very well optimized). I would check to see if the resolution is running at 1080 and or if any thing like AA got turned on. Basically change the graphics setting the min req and work your way up.

i only overclocked the GPU by a little bit and did a stability tester, it works fine with all my other games.
