What is the maximum RAM storage in the Intel i7 4790k processing chip?

Would it be possible to use 16 GB of RAM in a Intel i7 4790k processor? It was released in May 2014, and therefore is only compatible with DDR3 RAM technology. Does it being released in 2014 make it unable to store 16 GB?
Additionally, does anyone have any suggestions on what specific RAM to use?

A 4790K can utilize up to 32GB of DRAM

16 GB is not necessary, but it would be nice to have. Do you think I should stick with 8 GB?

Many will say 8GB is fine, I've been recommending 16GB for awhile now, and still do

A 2x8GB and with your CPU 2133 or 2400 is the sweetspot for price to performance

No worries, drop a note what you decide, get and how you like it - I'd look at the Trident X, Ripjaws X or Snipers prob in 2133/9 or 2400
