I recently (as in a month or two ago) spilt Mtn Dew, onto my mechanical keyboard. I've washed the sticky key caps with a mix of water and alcohol several times and let them dry, I feel like another washing is in need or something else? This is my first mechanical keyboard and I loved it. I hope someone can help me out!
Thanks!

the keys are still functional, the lights still light up..I have taken every single key cap off of it and cleaned the caps or whatever you call them lol. I've done that about four times now (of course after letting them dry)

Soda has sugar in it and often when it dries it can cause a short circuit. I fix dozens of stereos this way after a coffee spill on them.
I simply used a dampish sponge. I pressed the area affected and let it set for a minute to dissolve what was there. There should be a little bit of water on it.

Do NOT use detergent as it can eat some electronics.
Then using another sponge I lifted the liquid up. I would rinse out both sponges and repeat three time total.
Then using a cotton towel would press on it to take up any left over water.
Let it dry and you should be good to go unless one of the wires was broken.

As for alcohol. Remember not to use a hair dryer to dry it out.
It has a low ignite temperature AND often the flame is invisible to us.

Hope this helps :)

I havent tried your method yet, but I dont do anything to dry it, I just let it sit for a couple of days.. I've tried using the keyboard and the keys just stick down when pressed, and some come back up after a couple seconds. I'm afraid i've done too much damage to the keyboard or something. I'm new to mechanical keyboards and isnt that tech savvy, but say what if I made my keyboard short circuit, can I still get it to work? I cannot/dont know how to get to the circuit board itself, there is no tutorial on youtube on how..
