Hello both the motherboard's and the front panel's audio inputs work just fine. I have my Speakers connected to the motherboards audio input and my headphones on the front panel input. Whenever i only have the speakers connected but not the headhpones in the front it works fine, whenever i put my headphones on the front but not the speakers on the mobo... still it works fine. Whenever both speakers and headphones are connected the system only gets sound through headhpones...on my old system i could hear from both speakers and headphones at the same time... i dont want to plug and un-plug all the time... any suggestions?

PS: I thought maybe its some kind of driver thing cause this is a brand new pc...i might be missing something.

Hmm I don't know, I mean thats the setting, not sure what else can be done.

Ye i also came across a solution that said i should go change the settings on the Realtek HD Audio manager but i cant find it anywhere.. i see it on the hidden tray icons (which is not hidden ive set it to "icon and notifications" but it still doesnt appear on the task manager next to the clock). Also if i even search "realtek" on the search option in the windows button..it doesnt find anything... ive checked my control panel...still nothing, getting kinda desperate at this point :(

Have you installed all of the Gigabyte provided Audio drivers and software?

i just did. Everything was completed succesfully now in the "sounds" menu i can see both speakers and Headphones but still.... one cancels the other... i only get to choose which is the default and the other one is muted.

PS: Still no Realtek Audio Manager

You can look around in sound settings I have never seen that in there, but maybe its buried in a menu somewhere.

There really are no third party sound configuration programs.

I have an ASUS Z97-A mobo with Realtec HD sound, and I reach Realtec HD-sound configuration in either of the ways below:

A. Control Panel -> Realtec HD Sound configuration

B. Systray icon Realtec HD Sound configuration - Right click, choose topmost item (not sure of the English term).

C. Remove and reinsert speaker/headphone plug on Mobo back plate.

D. Insert headphone plug on case front plate.

When in the Realtec HD-sound configuration, click the cog wheel in top right corner of window to get to settings. Here I find the tickbox mentioned by Rogue Leader.

Edit: Filepath = C:\Windows\system32\RTSnMg64.cpl

That little settings wheel (bottom right corner first icon) should give you the configuration

SOLUTION FIGURED OUT.

ANY OF YOU OUT THERE HURTING YOUR BRAIN ON HOW TO ENABLE SOUND ON BOTH SPEAKERS AND HEADPHONES, HERE'S THE ANSWER.

1) R click on your speaker icon, select 'Recording Devices' (if you have the sounds dialog up, it's the 2nd tab 'Recording')
2) R click in the white space, be sure that BOTH "show disabled devices" AND "show disconnected devices" are checked.
3) **Now this step is going to take a little bit of thought for each computer being used: I get a device "Stereo Mix", ENABLE this device.
4) Click on Properties, go to the tab 'Listen'
5) Check the box "Listen to this device", also change the drop-down box below "Playback through this device" to be your second audio device
-- To verify that you've done this correctly, go back to the Sound dialog tab Playback, you should now see both of your audio devices showing the little green graphs moving.
