Closed port, taking days to open

I have a DVR that has a internal IP address and a port. Access to dvr is instant when on site.
The same port and a external IP when executed doesn't work , when outside the site.
The port when checked from outside shows Closed!!
How long should it take the ISP to open the closed port.

Opening a port is something you need to do, and should be instant. You need to configure it on any routers or firewalls.

If you're on a CG-NAT connection (same IP shared with other users), you won't be able to open any ports unless you move to a plan that's not CG-NAT.
