Yesterday I embarked on my first computer build (well second technically, but the first one was something I put together piecemeal from a cheap bestbuy desktop). Near as far as I can tell, everything is connected as it should be, however when I went to go power it on into BIOS, nothing. The onboard fans are spinning, LED lights are working, but no one's home.

Here's the troubleshooting I have done myself.

  • Removed the RAM and tried with each one indivually

Removed my video card and tried using the onboard video components

    Unplugged and replugged all wires

swapped out HDMI cable to make sure it wasn't that.

Removed everything save for the MOBO, CPU, PSU, a stick of RAM, and Monitor

Here are the components of my current build:

  • Intel I5-6500 FC-LGA14C 3.20 Ghz 6 M

Gigabyte LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Micro ATX DDR3 1600 Motherboards GA-B85M-DS3H-A

Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB)

Sentey Metal Blade Power 550W Power Supply, 120mm Sleeve Bearing Fan with Smart Fan Control in Response to Temperature

Rosewill Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case Challenger S

I suspect it may be the PSU, as the LED fan in the case repeatedly blinks when I turn on the power, however I just want to confirm that suspicion. I have a system speaker, but it doesn't make any noise on boot. Any help at all would be appreciated.

Oh, I didn't even catch that (nor did my friend that looked over what I was buying before I did). Thanks for your help!
