It is an HP Pavilion g6 laptop. When you press the power button it starts to power up and the message press esc key to enter startup menu flickers briefly on the screen but doesn't stay on. The laptop continues through its power up sequence and the screen flashes from time to time showing what appears to be messages/screens from the sequence but none of them stay on the screen lonh enough to see what they are. I presume that it arrives at the password request but I can't see it and the screen remains blank. Hope this helps.
