Yeah if the 1080 is the next big thing it'd be at least a half year to a year before the ti models start rolling out.

After seeing nvidia unveil GP100 at GTC event...it is pretty much confirm nvidia will have sonething faster than 1080 which is based on GP104. Though there is a lot of speculation right now. It is possible GP100 will end up being tesla exclusive. The actual 1080Ti might be based on the rumored GP102.
