How to move my router?

Ok so I'm getting my gaming PC in a few months and I don't want to get a wifi adapter. Wired internet speeds are obviously faster so I tried moving it from my dads office to my room. I have a cable port in my room which was connected to my tv service (Dish). It is a 2 in 1 router and modem. The cable for it is a circular piece with a thin needle/pin in the middle that to connect you twist. I moved it, I can connect, but
I have no working internet. Can I move it somehow myself or do I have to get someone from my internet service (Charter) to do it?

Thanks for reading all of this.

You should be able to move it. The coax coming out of the wall is not tied into the Charter service since it was for Dish network. Somewhere on the outside there is coax going to where the dish was. Somewhere else on the outside of the house is the Charter feed. If they are close then you should only need either a barrel connector or splitter to join coax.
