Hello,

I am facing a very annoying problem. I have an issue on my MSI z97 gaming 5 ethernet port. It shows a solid orange light when I turn on the PC and it stays on with no connection. Windows shows a red x icon on the taskbar. I tried to see if I have a LAN adapter on my network settings but it shows like I have no drivers installed. I also tried to uninstall my driver from the device manager in order to install it again but it shows I have no network adapters in there already! I download the latest driver from another computer and put it in flash drive in order to install it and when I did It says " No killer hardware was detected."

Can you please help me because it is really frustrating to have such an issue when you need your internet for almost everything.

Thank you in advance.

So interestingly enough I came to this board today for the exact same reason.
The first time clearing CMOS worked (in conjunction with uninstalling driver).
Worked for 5 days, then did the same thing again.

Now nothing I do is working.
I have tried...
CMOS battery removal
Uninstalling adapter
Disable/enable
Moving to different slot.
BIOS defaults.
And a host of other reasonable sounding suggestions. Nothing seems to be working.

Given that the card itself is only 6 months old I think it may be the motherboard somehow.
