I bought a new computer they installed linux mint 17.3. Now I want to relpace linux with windows 8.1. I tried for that but unfortunately I couldn't do that. It is is because of partition problem. Now I want to unpartition the linux installed system disk. I searched in internet and follow the path using command prompt, command fdisk is working after that I entered command p but unfortunately commands like p, m (help) are not working. How can I unpartition the linux installed disk for replacing linux with XP. Please help me.......or please give me a new idea for replacing linux with windows...........

Thanks for your reply
when I tried this shows this message
A problem has been detected and windows has been shutdown to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen,
restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow
these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer.Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive
controller.check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
Run chkdsk /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then
restart your computer.

You can, but it's much, much easier to just stick the dvd or USB in, start the computer, wait until it gives you an option to check the disk options, and format from there
