I have changed my VGA from a XFX R9 270X DD to a Zotac 970 Extreme Edition for two months. I encountered a problem right after installing the new card.
My PC uses ASUS Z97-K mainboard and a FHD monitor. I removed my 270X and then, used Intel HD for a week, everything is displayed in FHD resolution. After installing 970, my boot screen is not in the right resolution, just maybe in 1024:768 and everything is stretched. Recently I have realized windows startup setting is also in low res.
I think there is something preventing my VGA from displaying boot screen and other windows stuff before the windows logon screen in FHD. I tried to look for some solutions in bios setting but nothing worked. I also tried returning to Intel HD and, of course, all these screens are in 1080p.
I decide to look for new ways in this forum. Is there anyone know a solution?
