I have a Lenovo Miix 2 10" Tablet running Windows 8.1.

It has reboot/startup issue so I tried updating the Bios with Lenovo support download released 11-24-14.

I extracted and ran "Flash.exe" It just opened a blank C-Prompt window with blinking cursor. It's been 24hrs and no response.

I cannot close the window or end the process in Task Manager. According to the Readme file I cannot turn off my computer while the Bios is being updated. I tried running it again, so I actually have 2 C-Prompt windows with blank screen and blinking cursor.

I don't even know if the Bios update started and froze or it simply did not work. There is nothing in the C-Prompt screen, no initialization, status, etc. Task Manager shows 2 processes running with 0% CPU and 0.1MB memory.

WHAT DO I DO?!

Solution
Shut down the device, nothing else you can do.

You ran the wrong thing, did you read the directions in the readme file? Nothing there about running "flash.exe".

Installing the package in Windows.
1. Before test: make sure Adapter is plugged in and battery capacity is more than 30%.
2. Locate the file 97cn43ww.exe that has been downloaded into test machine.
3. Execute the 97cn43ww.exe.
4. Press next and follow the instruction on the screen.
5. During the process, you are advised not to turn off the computer.
6. When the update finishes, the computer will automatically reboot for the changes to take effect.
7. Done.
