Having a Black Screen for a Couple of Seconds

My screen randomly goes black for a couple of seconds.

specs:

i5 4460
ASUS Strix 2GB GTX 960 OC edition
4GB RAM


It started going black about two weeks ago (as of May 4) and I refitted the gfx card and stopped, and just tonight (May 4) I updated my drivers to 365.10 and it started doing it again.

better to try "refitting" the gpu again, also check if the mounting brackets are clamped with a screw or whatever method you computer case use to secure the gpu.

I refitted the card about two days ago

The black screen stopped until I updated the driver a couple of hours ago

What's the monitor, is it new, is it old? What about the cable you are using to connect the monitor to the gpu? Since that problem didn't occur with other drivers, I would suggest plugging the monitor in your motherboard with the same cable (if your motherboard has the same port) and see if the problem occurs with the integrated gpu.

The monitor is pretty old

I use a DVI-I which is connected to the monitor and HDMI on the card
