Hey guys,
I'm getting a new pc and I choose all the custom parts (to an extent) and they only charge $50 to put it all together with a warranty etc
I want a pc that can handle daily heavy multitasking and HD video editing, as well as hold it's own with the latest games out there, and not need an upgrade for a couple years at least.
So anyway this is what I've chosen:

- 1 × Cougar Challenger 6HM6 Mid Tower Case - Black
- 1 × Intel Core i7 6700 Quad Core 3.4 GHz CPU Processor
- 1 × Corsair Hydro Series H105 Liquid CPU Cooler
- 1 × ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4
- 1 × Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 2133MHz Memory Red
- 1 × MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB Video Card
- 1 × Cougar CMX700 V3 700W 80 PLUS Bronze Modular Power Supply
- 1 × Seagate ST2000DX001 2TB Desktop SSHD 3.5” Hybrid SATA3
- 2 × Cougar CFD 120mm Hydraulic-Bearing LED Series Fan - Red
- 1 × Microsoft Windows 7 Professional DVD SP1 64-Bit OEM
- 1 × High Performance CPU Thermal Compound Application

I've done a fair bit of research on each part to try and find the most reliable and best vs price etc
The PSU I'd rather change but can't, but from reviews it seems to be a good reliable one, if not I can change later.

But the only part I'm a bit iffy on is the motherboard.
And with this custom build you can only choose from what's on offer, and here are the other ones on offer and price changes:

- More expensive choices:
ASRock Z170 Extreme4 [+1.98]
MSI Z170A KRAIT GAMING [+11.00]
ASUS Z170-AR [+17.00]
Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 3 [+28.00]
ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming [+30.00]
Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 [+37.00]
Gigabyte GA-Z170X Gaming 5 [+60.00]
ASUS ROG Maximus VIII Ranger [+84.00]

- Less expensive choices:
Gigabyte B150 G1.Sniper B7 [-53.00]
Asrock Z170 Pro4 [-42.00]
Gigabyte GA-Z170-D3H [-19.00]
ASUS Z170-K [-14.00]

So which MB would you guys suggest as best for my choices/needs?
I appreciate any suggestions and what to look for or change in this build :]

Thanks heaps

I'm pretty much at my max on cost, its around 2200 as is, can't upgrade anymore than maybe $100, I also don't want to do any overclocking

I'm tossing up between the fatal1ty k4 or the ASRock Z170 Extreme4

Also might be changing ram to either 2x16gb sticks, or 4x8gb sticks, which is better for my setup?

Thanks

Whatever board has all the features you need.

Try checking firstly the compatibility. You can post here the model, for checking.

If I change that to AUD prices, it comes to $2808... lol so yeah no thanks

Its always best to tell us where you're from in the original post so we can be the most helpful.

Its sad that import laws affect people so harshly in other parts of the world.

I still suggest the CPU and Motherboard, You can save a lot of money by

1: Get rid of the liquid CPU cooler, a decent Air Cooler is all you need, you save about $75
2: Very few people need more then 16 GB of RAM. Check and see what a 4 x 4GB set will cost you, should be roughly 40% less.
3: Don't get an SSD since you can not afford one: $125
4: Go with a NVidia 970, savings about $350
5: Pick what ever case you like for a modest price, figure 40% savings
6: Pick a suitable size PSU for this design.

that price would be over 2k if the windows 10 price was added, its missing
And in the end I don't want to put it together myself, I know I could and save money, I just don't want to build it as im not that experienced, Im fine paying the 50 assembly fee and add a 2 year warranty on top of it if anything goes wrong.

I do lots of video editing and multitasking and run out of ram a lot, so I need 32 lol
I was getting a hybrid drive not a ssd, theyre not too high in price. got a 2tb for 140
I ended up getting a corsair 550w gold

I chose the 6700, not gonna overclock though
http://cpuboss.com/cpus/Intel-Core-i7-6700-vs-Intel-Core-i7-5820K

In the end this was my build

Intel Core i7 6700 Quad Core LGA 1151 3.4 GHz
Corsair Hydro Series H105 Liquid CPU Cooler
MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4GB
ASRock Z170 Extreme4 LGA1151 ATX

Seagate 2TB Desktop SSHD 3.5” Hybrid SATA3 ST2000DX001
Corsair CS550M 550W 80+ Gold Semi-Modular
Microsoft Windows 7 Professional DVD SP1 64-Bit

$2,118.92 AUD
Or $1583.84 USD

I appreciate all the tips and opinions, but I only did just want opinions on the motherboard for the budget I first explained, this wasn't a thread about choosing an entire system build and changing all my parts
