I recently tried an RT-AC56U and it SUCKED! Actually, I missed my return window on Amazon by 1 week, but they made an exception and let me return it, shout out to them, they're da coolest. Anyway, based on my experience with the AC56U and it's bad 2.4Ghz radio and instability (even with other firmware installed), I'm staying away from ASUS routers for a while. So anyway, what good AC router would you recommend? I need it to be rock stable, and if possible for it to support DD-WRT or at least have VPN client functionality. I'm sorry to bother, last time I did research on my own I ended up with this AC56U, so I would really appreciate your help.
