I just added an old HDD from my old computer (500G in total, yet can't combine the two storage section together)

And most of the time, it kept bothers me.

Every time when I turn off the PC, it'll not complete the process until the drive run itself for a while.
And sometimes you will hear the drive shut down automatically (won't affect on performing until use the space it take place).

If it comes with the power supply problem, how can I inspect the required watt for maintaining the system currently?

Hi there AdomiZ,

Is this your secondary or primary drive? I assume that this is a secondary one.

I may be a good idea to start with just taking the important data off the drive. After that, you can test it with some of these tools: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
Trying something simple as just attaching it with different cables to another port will not hurt as well.

Do you have some of the old OS files on the drive?(from your old computer) In case you do, I believe it would be nice to back up all the important data that is stored on the drive and reformat it.

This doesn't really sound like a PSU related problem. Yet, in case you want to test it, you will need some special equipment...

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

I've already backup all the files and reformatted the drive. Yet I have no idea how to merge them into one storage space.
