Hello,

I am attempting to build a custom computer case/standing desk all in one in the near future. The computer components would be encased in the desk, beneath a sheet of tempered glass and enclosed with wood around the perimeter. I have been scouring the internet trying to find a motherboard tray that I can mount to the plywood and can contain my ASRock ASRock Fatal1ty Gaming Fatal1ty 990FX Killer AM3+, but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions or solutions to this problem?

Thank you.

Solution
Okay, my suggestion is to go and buy a cheap (even a secondhand one) ATX case and cut the motherboard tray out of it, it is the most cost effective option

Thanks. Are there easily disassembleable cases or does this typically involve completely destroying the case?

The only case I can think of which you could just disassemble easily off the top of my head is the cooler master master case 5, but it isn't cheap at all.
And in most cases, getting the motherboard tray out is going to result in complete destruction of the case

Typically anytthing affordable will involve drilling out rivets and removing what you need.
Also if you happen to run into any cheap mini-itx cases I'm working on a similar project and would love to get my hands on a mini-itx tray.
