Been going through every thread and haven't been able to get ASUS Xonar Essence STX to work.
I don't get any sound when I hook up my speakers or headphones.
Could it be that I am powering it using a Molex to 3pin converted connected to a 4pin slot in the power supply unit?
I'm running windows 8.1 64 bit. I've tried both the Uni Xonar driver and the latest Xonar driver from their actual site.
I've disabled on board sound in the bios as well as disabled all other sound drivers besides the STX
I've messed with the settings the asus power center, tried the analog out to just about every option.
My last hope is to do a complete windows reboot and hope it works.
Anything i'm overlooking here?
