Northbridge Heatsink Possible overheat?

So Ive been having all kind of computer problems recently after i cleaned my computer and i think i finally narrowed it down, to something that looks like this?

Im not 100% on computers but i believe thats a heatsink, and well, its suuuuuper hot, like 87' after 15 mins of gaming. and its usually about that much gaming that causes my computer to crash and bluescreen.

Why is this happening? when it never happened before?

Yes, it's chipset cooler and shouldn't be that hot but that picture is nowhere close to your MB, it's an old Pentium3 MB.
It's possible that you moved it a bit during cleaning and it broke seal between it and chip below. You probably need to take it off and replace paste or thermal pad.
