How much of a difference will switching an AMD FX 8370 to an Intel i5 6600k make? I primarily only use my computer for gaming.

Check out some of digital foundries videos on youtube, its a much stronger gaming cpu and you'll get more fps even with a midrange card but dont expect miracles, games that run like crap in places will still run like crap in them places albeit with a little more frames on the counter.

8370 is a respectable cpu... and a intel 6600k will perform better than the amd since the single core performance of the intel is better than amd...
If ur selling ur 8370 and buying a intel 6600k yeah go for it better to stay with intel for now...
Get a good cpu cooler and a z170 board personally id go for asus z170-A

I was going to go with the MSI 170A I've had bad experiences with my 2 ASUS MB's I've bought in the last couple years and MSI hasn't failed me yet.
