EDIT: Same result after replacing battery

all pcie cables are in tight on the card?

monitor is hooked up to card and not the motherboard?

if you have another pcie slot on the motherboard, try switching the card to it

Yes cables are tight and monitor is hooked to card. I actually cant hook card to the first and last slot because of space. The white cover on MB comes down just enough to prevent the card from completely fitting inside the first. The last slot would leave no room for wires that are connected to the bottom of the MB being between the PSU and the card. Very frustrating.

The manual said that for best performance to use the top slot however all 3 are Pcie x 16. I did a bunch of research at the time and most people said it wouldnt matter but ill try to figure out a way to get the card inside the top slot. It wouldnt hurt to take that white cover off would it? If i even can.

Well i couldnt have looked more stupid if i tried. The white cover (forgive me for not knowing its name) has Z170 Series engraved on it as shown in your picture. I attempted to put the card in the first slot and it fit like a glove. Serves me right for assuming. Computer booted up with no issue. I am curious as to why even though the 3 Pcie x 16 slots are the same the MB only accepts the first? Also thank you for helping with my blonde moment.
