So I have 3 Solid state drives for my PC. Two of them are installed and connected via SATA 6gb/s port. The two that are installed and running are samsung evos. I recently decided to install my 480gb hyperx ssd and would like to have it running on sata 6gb/s instead of 3gb/s. My question is will I lose files and information if I switch one of my evos(not OS drive) from 6gb/s to 3gb/s. So just changing the cables.

That board should have a total of 4 6Gb/s ports. 2 brown ports tied to the z77 chipset and 2 gray ports on an Asmedia controller. I would make sure the o/s is on an Intel port but if it's just a data drive you can use on of the Asmedia ports.
