High gpu temp while idle

Solution
anything below 95c is within designed operating temps, although 70-80c is more typical depending on case airflow & individual card voltage variations

I would add another fan to bring in more cool air. Also, use some compressed air to make sure the heat sink does not have any dust buildup blocking airflow. Make sure the fan is running. You can also check in CCC what % the fan is running at those temps. The fan should turn up. When I was running a ATI card the fan never hit 100% and the GPU would hit 90C during gaming. I used that card for 2+ years
