Ok so first of all my computer was working fine and I actually had windows 10 but as you know windows 10 is the off spawns OS manufactured in the depths of hell. Anyways windows 10 basically stopped working and every time I started my computer I got the "press ctl-alt-del to restart" so I used my win 7 installation disc to do a clean install to put it back to win 7 normality but after installing windows wouldn't update or allow me to install Nvidia drivers. It literally gets to the .net part then stays on that loading bay. I have left it running for over 10 hours and still nothing. Recently thought it could be because it has corrupted files so I've tried every means of fixing windows updates and nothing works.

sfc/ scannow
installing dll reg back
chk tests
Microsoft fix/troubleshooter

I'm literally out of ideas. Please help? also I tried to install the disc onto another HD but the same thing is happening.

Solution
Try opening a browser to update it. MS wants to discontinue old browsers so Win 7 barely qualifies with it's IE version. In any event it is likely you will need to be obsessive with images, restore points and backups to keep any upgrade working and avoid this situation.
