PC won't post after upgrading ram

I have an old PC. It had two 1gb sticks of crucial pc2 6400. I bought two, 2gb sticks of pc2 6400(not crucial) and replaced the 1gb sticks and now no post. Ddr2 mobos should all have a minimum Max of 4 gigs right? Or do some have a 2gb Max?

what is ur mobo model?
and try to reset ur CMOS by removing BIOS battery for ~1min.

SOme have a max of 2GB, check your mobo or if a prebuilt, the model # of the computer's specs

It's msi. The number on the board says Ms 7592 ver 1.0

I got it booting off of 1 stick (ill try the other in the same port to see if it's bad or not)

I just download the file and... Install it?

well then check ur bios version and see if u have an update, then update it. First read carefully how to install bios on ur mobo.

Well, after seeing both ram sticks work, i plugged both in and it's booted. Clearing the cmos must have done it
