Hey guys, here's some relevant info before I get on the details:
-My connection right now is through fiber optic
-The model of the router in question is ZTE F680
-Country: Spain ISP: Jazztel
So what's happening is that the wifi connection occasionally gets lost. It's not often enough to be a huge problem but it's often enough to be annoying. The weird part is that it only seems to affect wifi. I have my main computer wired directly to the router and it never loses the connection. The more interesting (or weirder I guess) part is that it only seems to on the 2.4GHz band. I've kinda confirmed it by only enabling 5GHz on my Nexus 5 while other devices just lost the connection and it works fine. I wanted to update the firmware to see if that helps but it doesn't do it automatically. By that I mean, it's asking for an firmware file that I can't find (yes, I tried searching for it even on the manufacturer website).
Hopefully someone has a solution or an idea on how to fix this. Thanks!
