Intel H87 chip set

I just snagged an HP Pavilion 500-223w with a Pegatron Memphis-S motherboard using Intel H87 chip set. It has Windows 8.1 but I would like to run Windows 7 and Media Center. Everything that I'll need will be from chip set. Any idea as to whether there's a snowball's chance it will be worth the hassle to give it a try?

why not just run win8 media center? Its probably an extra cost if it didn't come built into the HP but the $10 or so but that would be cheaper then buying a license for win7 for it. Do not upgrade to win10. there is no MC for win10 at all.

That was my hope, but I have not been able to find it. I've found Pro, which is a prerequisite, but no 8.1 WMC add on pack.

There is a hacked WMC for win10, but legally a gray area and wouldn't be supported by HomeRun Prime.
